The prices are out, the form can be found at www.gulfwars.org registration/troll. I have already received my first e-mail and first check in the mail. I will let all know when ACCEPS is taking online reservations.

That was the saying for the evening. Gleann Abhann has announced it's first bestowed peerage...Barun Rory ua Riada will be elevated to the Order of the Pelican!!! I am most excited about this announcement...I feel it is well deserved and can't wait to see it happen. The time is yet to be determined.

So we had 12 fighters...3 I think for the first time, 2 for the second time. Total of 23 folks there. We hung out at El Chico's afterwards and Happy Birthday'd Rory.
Glad today was overcast and bit breezy made for better than just sun and heat.
I think we have about 11 that will be attending Slay the Dragon next weekend as their first event. Most of us are daytripping. Some will be down all weekend. |

I learned something at A&S. I can do the Hole in the Wall. Not so sure I like the toss dance...more fun to watch. I watched the Maltese? and the Black Nag. Funny thing on the Maltese...6 or 7 guys and 3 girls, who would've thought.
We actually had a total of 23 attend tonight. Surprising for our lil group and exciting. Ardanroe has folks from CA moved in and a large group of newbies..coming to more than just one meeting. I'm hoping they will make some events, that will be the real draw to more that just a check it out.
It's exciting seeing so many new folks, along with some old faces coming back. HERory spent time teaching dancing and assisting w/name research before & after the dancing. Tis good to have his expertise in this area.
I think he has 4 papers filled out and being turned in.
I can't wait to go to fighter practice Sunday and see how many armour up...about 4-5 guys are interested in fighting.
I plan on being Royal Liason for WW's ....so if any of you guys know any Royals around that decide to make a cold winter event in my area let me know:)
It could almost be a pre-war meeting...but the Trimarians would have a very long haul. |

Can I just say it sucks that we get looked down upon for not selling certain products at the office to our customers...not much credit to us...but the main reason the service can suck! customer service that is.
I just spent over 3 hours today on the phone being passed to one idiot after another that can't help b/c they aren't in the right office etc etc...guess it is a good thing that my 1/2 day vacation turned into a more irate customer than most of my calls...instead of making money answering the phone I wasted my time and got no where...........................sucks!
That being said I did take a break and run to lunch and the bookstore w/my mom, nice to spend time w/her.
Wednesday night our local Seneschal had her deputy read a letter of resignation. Will be good for the group since she hasn't been to anything in months, unfortuate reason as her father is very ill. Will be fun seeing what changes THLSarah MacGregor will make. I know she'll do a good job. I just hope she still handles the reservations for WW's as I'll be in the middle of Gulf Wars troll...just a LOT of busy:)
I have already started verbally recruiting folks for troll...will soon start getting their names in blood, not really...but getting my troll list started so they can start recruiting folks to help w/their shifts if not committed to other things. For anyone reading this ....apprentice, protege, squire, PEER....you know who you are...I'd love your help if only for a few hours during the week:) This 24/7 takes a lot of voluteers. Not just paperwork,there is also computer entry and cashiers. |

| Ardanroe Gathering |

Yesterday Ardanroe hosted a Shire Social for newbies, and shires around us. We had 65, if not more gentles show. Pretty awesome for a day event in someones backyard. There were folks from Blackwood, Loch Bais, one from Wyrmgeist and even a crew from Rosenfeld over in Ansteorra. Sir Gathin & Duke Patrick marshalled our tourney's. THLord Maximillian von Braun won both tourney's of the day. We had a great potluck and a lot of visiting going on. It amazed me how many locals we had attend. There were about 11 newbies from our area that haven't made a true event yet, along with 3-4 that played years ago. I had seen a couple of them at one fighter practice. It would be great if we were able to get some of these folks on a more active basis. THL Sarah was our "Oracle of Summer Fun" for the day and LJames was our host. HERory did an excellent job running the list and heralding part of the day. None suffered to much from the heat, thanks to the trees of shade.
I was recruiting some Ansteorran help for Gulf Wars troll, It may be 7 months away, but it's a 24/7 job:) I enjoyed visiting with Duchess Julia de Montoya. Thought it wonderful that within about a month of her taking over the Kingdom Seneschal position she was visiting Gleann Abhann. |

| Movie & Dinner nite and Catch up |

Last nite we had just that a shire movie & dinner nite. The food was delicious...the movie was a whole flop. No one could get the video, sound yes picture no. Instead we had lots of time to talk, gossip, politic etc. I did pass on the word that Troll Fen will be hosting the next GA Crown List. I believe it will be at the same site in Alexandria the last one was held. I'll be attending the KWHSS next weekend in New Orleans. My mom is going with me, more for the hurricane at Pat O's I think:)
I might day trip Loch Bais B-Day bash this weekend, It's about a two hour drive and I think Dana will go with. |

Did I ever mention how much I love weekends? I look forward to those in which I see my friends, but also to those I spend doing little of nothing in town. Tonight is dinner w/Dana, JJ and my brother. Tomorrow not much on the schedule, I really should work on a new outfit...did I mention the viking apron I was going to make, I'll mix it up...white undertunic, red overtunic, black apron and some really cool trim. We'll see how much of this I actually do as I rock as a seamstress. Or is it stress trying to so a seam?
Dinner is here...they are crazy picky eaters...she ordered pizza mainly for the brother and chinese for JJ(g'ma)...I have to decide as they don't mix. |

So I decided to go ahead and start my journal, mainly to post to friends:) I figure once in a while I can let folks know my thoughts...at least some of them. This is a wonderful day! Why? Reason being I am home doing this instead of answering back to back calls like a normal Monday. The normal Monday will be Tuesday and Wednesday instead.
I'm sitting here thinking of my pixie friend and how happy she must be:) I know I am happy for her, but grief can you quit convincing so many to move or think about it! The man I can understand...but I think your list is up to about 5 others? Enough of my rant, tis all in love.
